Ave, Domina Angelorum:
Salve, radix, salve, porta
Ex qua mundo lux est orta:

Gaude, Virgo gloriosa,
Super omnes speciosa,
Vale, o valde decora,
Et pro nobis Christum exora.

℣ Dignare me laudare te, Virgo sacrata.
℟ Da mihi virtutem contra hostes tuos.

Words: Anonymous, 12th Century.
Simple Tone: “Ave Regina Caelorum (Simplex)” Gregorian Chant, Mode VI, traditional.
Solemn Tone:Ave Regina Caelorum (Solemnis)” Gregorian Chant, Mode IV, traditional.

This Antiphon has been translated into English as “Hail, O Queen of Heav’n enthron’d!
