Terræ Polique Conditor

This hymn is used for Lauds and Vespers (II) for the Trinity Sunday in the Ambrosian Breviary.

Terræ polique conditor
Pater parentem nesciens,
Fœcunda cuius comparem
Gignit sibi mens Filium;

Summi Parentis Unice,
Matrisque Fili Virginis,
Sumta medens mortalium
In carne carni noxiæ;

Tu, Spiritus cælestium
Largitor alme munerum,
Tuis rigentes pectorum
Fibras adurens ignibus:

Salva precantes, Trinitas,
Defende, simplex Unitas,
Cum Patre Proles cælica
Et utriusque Spiritus. Amen.

Words: Ambrosian Breviary, 1830*.
Tune: Unknown.
Meter: 8.8.8.8

*The date and authorship is according to the information on this hymn in the Repertorium Hymnologicum.
