The Holy Rosary

A practice I have been attempting to aid in praying the Rosary is to sing a hymn relating to the particular mystery for each decade. For anyone interested in such a practice, here are some suggestions:

The Joyful Mysteries (Monday & Saturday)
The Messenger from God’s High Throne
I. The Annunciation
Ave Maris Stella
Gabriel, from the Heaven Descending
Gentle Star of Ocean
Hail, O Star That Pointest
Hail to Thee O Bride Unwedded
The Angel Gabriel from Heaven Came
The Angel Spake the Word
The God Whom Earth, and Sea, and Sky
The Lord, Whom Earth, and Sea, and Sky
What Mortal Tongue Can Sing Thy Praise
II. The Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Now In Holy Celebration
Portal of the World’s Salvation
Whither Dost Thou Hasten
Whither Thus in Holy Rapture
III. The Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ
A Great and Mighty Wonder
Angels from the Realms of Glory
Angels We Have Heard on High
From East to West, from Shore to Shore
From the Far-Blazing Gate of Morn
Gabriel’s Message Does Away
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
Good Christian Men Rejoice
Hark! the Herald Angels Sing
Jesu, Redeemer of the world!
Joy Fills Our Inmost Hearts Today
Lo! How a Rose E’er Blooming
Lo! On This Day in Flesh Appears
O Come All Ye Faithful
O Little Town of Bethlehem
Of the Father’s Love Begotten
Once in Royal David’s City
Silent Night
The First Nowell
Virgin Mother, Oh, Rejoice!
What Child Is This?
IV. The Presentation of the Lord
Hail to the Lord Who Comes
In Peace and Joy I Now Depart
In His Temple Now Behold Him
O Happy Day, When First Was Poured
O Sion! Open Wide Thy Gates
The Ancient Law Departs
Thou Light of Gentile Nations
Within The Temple’s Hallowed Courts

In Stature Grows the Heavenly Child
Jesus a Child His Work Begun
Three Days Missing In The Temple
Within the Father’s House
